Fielding Programme Residents are special people. Already committed to their writing, often fitting it around demanding jobs and family life, they somehow carve out precious time to devote to their project in hand. They are determined types who are willing to travel considerable distances to the right place in order to develop their writing. They encounter Highland cows, unusual weather, new people, unfamiliar silence and take it all in their stride. We like to think they become friends.
